When it comes to accommodations, Chicago has a plethora of options. Whether you want to stay in an airbnb or a hotel, you can find quality. The only thing you need to focus on is what area you want to stay in.
AC Hotel Chicago Downtown is located in a really central location. It’s a short ride to River North and a quick walk to landmarks like the Hancock Building. As far as airbnbs go, this three level skyline view penthouse located between River West and Noble Square can house up to 14 people. Another option is in the Fulton Market area which has numerous restaurants and nightlife activities. The Hoxton feels like a home away from home in one of the most creative neighborhoods.
Visiting a major city can add up but don’t worry, there are many ways to affordably explore Chicago.
If you purchase a Go Chicago pass, you can see many top attractions at a major discount. There’s an all-inclusive pass which includes 29 activities, as well as an explorer pass which allows you to choose certain activities. A one day all inclusive pass starts at $95. There are other experiences such as the Escape Game and 10pin Bowling which are included with your pass for free.
Don’t want to spend a ton of money on transportation? Divvy bikes are located all around the city to get from place to place. It’s perfect for sightseeing on a sunny day. Ubers and Lyfts can be costly, especially during the peak of rush hour. Public transportation is also a relatively easy way to get around if you’re good with directions. I would recommend saving your money and not renting a car while you’re in the city because meters and parking fees in the city are very high. However, if you do decide to rent a car, make sure you download the Park Chicago app.
